Update: The CW has pulled the remaining episodes of Cult from its schedule. There is no word yet on whether they will air online.

We’ve been enjoying The CW’s complex new show Cult. Of course, we love Matt Davis.

The ratings for Cult haven’t been fantastic, and The CW moved it to Fridays after a few weeks of following Hart of Dixie on Tuesdays. The move hasn’t helped the show’s numbers any. On Friday, April 5, 0.62 million tuned in to watch Matt Davis’s character try to puzzle out the mysteries surrounding an obsessed, murderous fandom.

The CW hasn’t made an official announcement about Cult’s fate, but Deadline seems to think Cult has been canceled. A story about CW shows on the bubble claims three series have already been given the ax by the network: 90210, Emily Owens MD, and Cult.

The first two shows’ cancellations have already been announced, but besides this article, no other outlet has reported that Cult is definitely over for good.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed that Cult finds an audience and gets a Season 2, but if not, there’s always a chair at the bar on The Vampire Diaries for Alaric Saltzman.
