Do You Think Elena Chose the Right Salvatore Brother in The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Finale?

Well, it all came down to Matt’s (Zach Roerig) driving skills, didn’t it? In The Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale, Elena (Nina Dobrev) had an hour to get to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) or Stefan (Paul Wesley) before their potential deaths, and she made her choice.

Of course, the brothers turned out to be fine, but before she knew that, Elena decided to go back to Stefan. Then Matt drove them off the Wickery Bridge, and everything changed. The repercussions of both Elena’s decision and her new vampire status will obviously reverberate throughout Season 4. Executive producer Julie Plec told Entertainment Weekly, “now, who knows what’s gonna happen? Her life just got completely turned upside down and ripped inside out. God only knows how each brother is gonna handle it?” but added, “she’s committed to Stefan. She loves Stefan. We’ll get to actually see them be together for a little while.”

Elena explained why she was returning to Stefan in a phone call to Damon, saying that whatever her feelings for him, she never “unfell” for his brother. Would she have been right to betray those emotions by going to Damon — or was suppressing how she feels for him the wrong move?
