We already knew Ian was going to our nation’s capital to speak at The Washington Post’s Energy Panel, and now we’ve got some details on his visit.

Earlier this year, the actor partnered with Go Green Mobile Power, a portable energy company that has gained much attention this year thanks to his participation. Now Ian wants 'The Vampire Diaries' to partner with Go Green as well in order to conserve energy on the set.

"Warner Bros. [loves Go Green] and the network is figuring out right now how to get [one of their generators] on set," Ian told MTV. "There has been a lot of interest from the city of Los Angeles, Mayor Villaraigosa; there's a lot going on. It's really exciting stuff, we're going to go full bore and get these things out there producing green power."

Looks like we’ve got one more thing to add to the increasingly long list of reasons we adore this smoking Salvatore brother!
