There’s no denying that The Vampire Diaries’ werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is a seriously self-sufficient badass. But in one of the jaw-droppingest TVD plot twists ever (and that’s saying something), this tough-as-nails she-wolf is facing something even she wasn’t prepared for: Hayley’s havin’ a baby!

Now that she is in a family way, and with Klaus’s (Joseph Morgan) child no less, we’re thinking Hayles could use a little help getting ready for her new arrival. Klaus has come around to the idea of having an heir to the supernatural New Orleans throne he plans on taking from Marcel, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be much help in the prep department. Come on, can you imagine Klaus reading What to Expect When You’re Expecting? He wants a baby, but he and Hayley aren’t really in this together.

Don’t worry, Hayley; we’re here to help! We’re sure you’re busy, so we’ve put together a few items we think you should be sure and put on your baby registry. This hybrid/werewolf offspring is uncharted territory, so we’re just going to cover some basics here. You may have a little trouble finding these goodies at your local Babies ‘R’ Us, but it’s worth the effort. Congrats, Mama!

Heavy Duty Crib
When your baby could possibly be born with super strength, it’s probably wise to get this little bundle of joy a bed that it can’t damage too badly. We’re thinking reinforced steel.

Daylight Baby Bracelet
Since we’re not sure which traits of a werewolf and/or hybrid this wee one is going to inherit, we think it’s best to play it safe and enlist one of those powerful New Orleans witches to make a baby bracelet that protects vamps from being obliterated by the sun. Better safe than sorry, right?

Vervain Baby Products
Since this baby’s dad is an Original vamp (and let’s be honest, sometimes kind of a jerk) we can imagine this little lady/fella is going to need as much protection as he/she can get. That being said, a little vervain-laced baby shampoo and baby balm could go a long way in protecting this munchkin from vamps looking for revenge.

Diapers and Diaper Genie
Babies are babies, supernatural or no.

Teething Rings
Once Baby Klayley starts getting teeth, some high-impact teething rings are in order. This kid has two supernatural parents known for using their chompers, so something a little more intense than your standard jelly rings could come in handy. Perhaps Klaus could compel some NASA-grade plastics?

Baby Bjorn
We just want to see Klaus carrying his baby in a front pack, because aww! Also, with the amount of time these two parents-to-be spend on the move, this is only practical.

Super-Stretchy Onesies
This baby could grow super fast or start shifting into a werewolf at any moment, so some outfits with a lot of give are a must-have. How about a few uber-stretchy outfits, to accomodate the wee were-brid’s every need?
