The Originals — The Vampire Diaries spin-off set to air April 25 — is getting a lot of buzz from TVD fans. That’s good news, but what do The CW network execs think? They’re the ones who will ultimately decide whether the show gets picked up for a full series, after all. Deadline reports that there’s more good news on that front.
According to the site, “CW brass seem very pleased with the Vampire Diaries planted spin-off The Originals, which is now shooting, so it appears a lock for next season’s schedule. The Originals also is a marketing dream as its three stars are established Vampire Diaries cast members who have built-in followings.”
The three leads are of course Joseph Morgan (Klaus), Daniel Gillies (Elijah), and Claire Holt (Rebekah). All three Original siblings would make New Orleans their permanent home if the spin-off goes to series.
One good way to influence whether or not that happens? Make sure to tune in to The CW on April 25 at 8 p.m. You definitely don’t want to miss all the witches, vampires, and other spooky stuff inhabiting the French Quarter.
Having more of Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah on our TV? We’re crossing our fingers and toes that we’ll be seeing more of The Originals come fall.
