New Orleans promises to be a city where Klaus (Joseph Morgan) can stretch his wings in The Originals, so does that mean the hybrid will go back to his old murdering ways?

Someone’s making a move against Klaus in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 20, hence his trip down south. Is it witches — or someone closer to home?

Klaus runs into Marcel, his old mentee. The vampire is the king of New Orleans, and that could be dangerous for him. Jealous guy that he is, Klaus sees what Marcel has and wants it for his own. Maybe Marcel is trying to make a preemptive strike against the hybrid? Marcel has legions of followers, and if any of them try to defend their leader against Klaus, things could get messy.

Of course, if the witches are plotting against Klaus, he won’t spare them either. As we saw, he managed to take out 12 hybrids a matter of moments. While witches could prove a tad trickier, Joseph Morgan told Wetpaint Entertainment that the spellcasters need Marcel’s go-ahead to practice magic. That obviously gives Klaus an advantage against even the most powerful witch.

We’re not quite sure who’s going to get hurt, but it’s likely Klaus won’t leave New Orleans undamaged. Joseph told Zap2It, “He makes one of the most disgusting emotional choices we've ever seen him make.” That could easily mean murder, right?
