In The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 20, “The Originals,” it’s not all about Klaus (Joseph Morgan) heading to New Orleans. Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) still have an Elena (Nina Dobrev) problem on their hands.

In a new clip, the baby vamp is currently locked in the brothers’ dungeon, and the Salvatores are still planning on using fear to turn her emotions back on. Apparently, depriving her of blood alone isn’t working.

“That’s the calmest desiccating vampire I’ve ever seen,” says Damon. “I remember when you starved me down there for three days. I would’ve wept at your feet for an orange peel.” Tell us about it. We feel the same way two days into a juice cleanse.

Stefan realizes that because Elena is still in “no-humanity zone,” she’ll never beg for blood. That would mean desperation, aka emotion. She’ll need to be a lot closer to starving before they can “torture some feelings” back into her. Well, this is just a delightful plan.

Before they can get into the logistics, a surprise turns up: Katherine (Nina Dobrev). “Maybe I can provide a little excitement,” she teases.

At the very least, we want some enlightenment on that letter she sent to Klaus!
