It’s starting to look like the female life expectancy in Mystic Falls is about 18. Less than a half an hour after Kat offed her friend on the dance floor, it was sip-happy Sarah’s turn to meet her maker. When Matt failed to provoke Tyler into killing him, Sarah grabbed a letter opener and did the job Katherine had compelled her to do. “Matt failed. If Matt fails I can’t,” she said right before stabbing Ty in the shoulder. Need we say that it was the last thing she would ever do? Seconds after Sarah’s body hit the ground, Tyler was on his knees too. Consider that curse activated.
Matt was on a mission to commit death by werewolf. But you know Caroline couldn’t let her ex go down like that. So when she heard Ty and Matt rumbling, Car vamped into the room to break them up. She threw them apart and stepped in the middle. But when her Mystic Falls footballer wouldn’t quit gunning for the quarterback, she went all Muay Thai on him and gave him a quick elbow to the face.
All Amy did was pay Elena’s evil doppelganger a compliment. Little did she know “You look gorge,” would be her last words. “Paralyzed from the waist down — and dead,” Kat said as she snapped Amy’s spine then broke her neck. We feel for the girl. Just a few weeks ago, thanks to Caroline, Amy found herself in the woods making out with Tyler — against her will. “I’m not really even sure why I was flirting with you,” she said. “I like Matt.” Too bad she’d didn’t live long enough to act on that sentiment.
1. Lady down!
Thanks to Lucy’s nifty spell, the Salvatores couldn’t kill Katherine — not if they wanted to keep Elena alive. But what a witch does, she can undo. And, after Lucy learned that Kat had pit her against a cousin-witch, she more than undid her dirty deed. As promised, she got the moonstone for Katherine. But, before she returned the rock she put a dark spell on it. She may even have gotten help from Bon-Bon — we’re not sure. But of one thing we’re certain: When Lucy handed the moonstone to the Lady Pierce, Kat started to choke and gasp. Less than a minute later she was out cold — well, colder than usual. Lucy took Katherine the Great down without throwing a punch. That just goes to show you should never send two vampires to do a witch’s job.
Yes, we were rooting for our beloved bloodsucking brothers, but we’ve got to admit we also enjoyed Kat’s fierceness when they were trying to stake her. The Lady Pierce was outnumbered. She was outgunned. And yet she still more than held her own against Damon and Stefan Salvatore — catching the stakes they fired, tossing the guys across the room, and basically making the brothers work for it.
