It seems like Hollywood is taking notice of Joseph Morgan’s (Klaus) ability to blend into creepy surroundings. The Vampire Diaries character has been (excuse the pun) killing it on as an Original vampire, and now he’s been cast in a new movie with an eerie premise. Open Grave, which Deadline reports has also added Thomas Kretschmann, Joseie Ho, and Sharlto Copley to the roster, is a thriller directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego.
A group of six awaken in the middle of nowhere to find the titular open grave, full of decomposing bodies. No one remembers how they arrived at the gruesome locale or what happened to the rotting corpses. Creepy! The mystery unravels as they piece together what’s happened to them.
For Klaus fans worried that J.Morg might be abandoning TVD for the big screen, Deadline says the movie begins filming this week, so if Klaus survives the Season 3 finale, his schedule should be clear by the time the CW show resumes shooting.
Congrats on the new (terrifying) film, Joseph!
