Being a human in Mystic Falls must be like floating in the ocean on a life raft, all the while knowing that hungry sharks are lurking somewhere beneath you.
Yet Matt (Zach Roerig) has managed to survive all this time on The Vampire Diaries, and — as Zach revealed to The Huffington Post — it looks like he won’t be helpless for much longer.
“This season is ending the ‘Poor Matt’ role that we've known him in,” Zach said. “I can't really say too much, but good things happen for him.”
We would certainly hope so; especially considering the fact that he nearly drowned at the end of Season 3. Say, speaking of vampires who have tried to kill Matt, what’s in the cards for his pseudo-relationship with Rebekah (Claire Holt)?
“He definitely has a lot of resentment towards her,” Zach explained. “He still just can't see past what Rebekah's done — that she put them in that predicament: that Elena’s [Nina Dobrev] now a vampire or else it would have meant that he was dead. I just don't think that's anything that he can shrug off. ... I think that Matt and Rebekah should have some aggressive sex scenes, just get it out of their system, and then maybe he can be cool with her.”
Hey, Julie Plec and Vampire Diaries writers: We second the aggressive vamp-human sex times infinity!
