As any Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan knows, Willow (Alyson Hannigan) took a swim in the bad girl pond when she dipped into the dark magic. In Vampire Diaries Season 3, Bonnie (Kat Graham) channeled some of the bad juju to desiccate Klaus (Joseph Morgan), but executive producer Julie Plec tells E! Online that she’s wary of repeating Willow’s storyline.

“To be truthful, a lot of debates go on in our [writers'] room about whether to take Bonnie to the dark side and the biggest thing that prevents us from doing that is not wanting to feel like we're following Willow's journey," says Plec. "She's tapped into some darker stuff… I don't know which way we'll go with her in Season 4. Do you go down a road even though people did it really well? Do you really want to do that? Or do you ignore what other people did and do it because it's right for the character? I'm interested to see where we land on that as writers."

Kat Graham she enjoyed Bonnie taking some control in the third season of the show. It would be an interesting route to take, particularly because of its future repercussions. Even (Stefan Salvatore has joked that Bonnie’s magic allows the TVD gang to get out of danger no matter what. If she had to limit her use because the dark side was taking over, it would help avoid the “black hole of storytelling,” as Kevin Williamson calls the phenomenon of one spell fixing the problems on another
and another and so on.

Plus, we know Wetpaint Entertainment readers are dying to see Bonnie brew up some trouble.
