Watch out! Alligators and Vampire Diaries spoilers ahead. Just kidding about the alligators.

“Go right ahead. Laugh at the girl who loved too easily, but I would rather have lived my life than yours,” a tearful Rebekah (Claire Holt) says to Klaus (Joseph Morgan) before he white-ash daggers her in Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 4, “The Five.”

The blond vamp has had her heart stamped on since the 1100s, when Alexander (Paul Telfer) made her believe he loved her, before attempting to kill her and her entire family. Her taste in men improved over the centuries, but she tried to kill her current crush’s best friend. So while Matt (Zach Roerig) will take her truck, he’s not quite ready to invite her to the decade dance or anything.

We get it. Everyone hated Rebekah and she was a liability to Klaus and Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) schemes, so she had to be put on ice. But we’ll miss Barbie Klaus. You must admit, it was pretty funny when she smeared blood all over Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) face at school. Such a Mean Girl!

But you can’t keep an OV down for long. From the looks of Twitter, it seems Claire Holt is back in Atlanta. “[Y]ou ready???? Season 2 baby! Tonight, after we wrap on set (no matter what time) you have to come over so we can watch ep201,” Nina Dobrev tweeted at the Aussie actress. They’re planning a Homeland marathon, in case you’re wondering.

TVD won’t be without its blond villain for long. Breathe easy...or start hyperventilating?
