Klaus Stands Next to Stefan in The Vampire Diaries Season 3, Episode 9, “Homecoming”

When The Vampire Diaries returns on January 5 (we’re getting closer!), we’ll learn just how badly things have soured between former friends Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan). According to a new preview of Season 3, Episode 10, “The New Deal” in the December 8-15 issue of TV Guide, Mystic Falls is going to be in great peril thanks to the fallout from the events following homecoming. Namely, Stefan stealing Klaus’ coffins was a big no-no.

 

As executive producer Julie Plec tells TV Guide, “Mystic Falls is in the hands of Klaus. Stefan and Klaus want to destroy each other, but they’re unwilling to face the consequences if things go wrong. It’s a Mexican standoff.” Basically, if Klaus makes a move, Stefan will hurt his family; if Stefan isn’t careful, Klaus will start mowing down Gilberts with cars. Will they call a truce or is this the beginning of an epic battle? Only a little over a month until we find out!
