In March, Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) laughed about The Vampire Diaries’ upcoming decade dance in Season 3, Episode 20, “Do Not Go Gentle.” As he pointed out to E!, "These dances are so funny. They're dances and they all serve as a backdrop to murder. 'We're going to dress you up in an extravagant period costume that no high school kid would ever have and have some vicious murder!'”
Paul wasn’t just whistling Dixie, as it turns out. The ‘20s-themed shindig just might turn deadly again this year. According to Zap2It, insane-in-the-membrane Alaric (Matt Davis) is getting steadily worse. (We knew Bonnie’s tincture of herbs couldn’t work forever!) But a little case of killing sprees isn’t enough to ward off Meredith (Torrey DeVitto), and she and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) work to find a solution to this disastrous problem.
But Bonnie must have more than her spice rack up her sleeve because she, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), and Matt (Zach Roerig) are all ingredients in a dangerous spell. In one of the episode photos, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is flat-out weeping in Stefan’s arms.
Oh, no. Does the spell go awry or is Alaric just beyond help?
