It was a shocking twist when Caroline’s (Candice Accola) father, Bill (Jack Coleman), chose death over becoming a bloodsucker on The Vampire Diaries, but will Abby (Persia White) opt for the same fate? Persia recently spoke with Collider about what we can expect from Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) mom now that she’s on the verge of vampirism.

“It’s a huge decision,” Persia said. “The things that are going to happen for Abby are connected and rooted in the history of her daughter.” Since Abby once left the Mystic Falls and the witch world behind, whether she chooses to be undead or just plain dead would have implications. “What happens will really reflect on where the character is, as a person. It’s a huge sacrifice, if she does turn. If she doesn’t turn, she’s abandoning her daughter.”

At the same time, Abby comes from a line of witches that has always been anti-vamps. If she turns, “she’ll be betraying her family, to some regard,” points out the actress. “Both are very difficult decisions. I can’t say what happens, but we’ll see." (If you really want the answer, click here.)

Then Persia got philosophical about the impending death of her character, pointing out that much like in real life, she has no idea when she’ll be killed on the show. But with TVD, she doesn’t think anyone is safe. Not even Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore). “With this show, if they don’t like you, they can just kill you off so easily, and that goes for everybody. There’s the three main characters for whom that would be very unlikely, but it is possible,” says White.

Clearly she hasn’t visited some of the same forums we have. There would be mass rioting, Persia!
