Over the weekend, Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) showed up at the Palladium for the annual Trevor Live! event, presented by The Trevor Project. What’s The Trevor Project, you ask? It’s a national organization “focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.” Awards were presented to famous names like the Levi Strauss Co. and comedian Kathy Griffin, honoring their efforts to educate and promote awareness about this important cause.

Jim Halterman was able to catch up with Paul and talk about his loyalty to the cause. Paul thinks it’s important to promote the project, especially considering a large percentage of TVD’s viewers are teens and younger adults. If one (or a hundred, or a thousand) of his fans researches The Trevor Project because of him and finds it useful, he has “done his job.”
