Did you wake up with The Vampire Diaries your brain, too? Of course you did! The Season 3 finale was ridiculously epic.

Let’s relive some of the epic moments, shall we: Klaus (Joseph Morgan) burning up in flames, Bonnie (Kat Graham) making a deal with the Original, Stefan (Paul Wesley) saving Matt (Zach Roerig) instead of Elena (Nina Dobrev) after she picked him over Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Bad Alaric (Matt Davis) finally going down, Dr. Fell (Torrey DeVitto) giving Elena the vamp blood that ultimately turned her... We could go on.

There’s no question that Season 3’s finale was awesome, but how does it stack up to the last two seasons?

Season 1 ended with the cliffhanger that a bunch of the supernatural beings in town,  including Damon, had been rounded up and stuffed into a basement after the Founder’s Day parade thanks to that little device which made their ears bleed, before John Gilbert doused the place with gasoline.

Season 2’s finale amped it up a bit and left off with Stefan giving himself over to Klaus to save Damon from a werewolf bite, Jeremy dying and being revived only to discover he’s now able to see the dead, and Damon and Elena smooching in the bedroom.

How do you rank Season 3’s finale?
