When Will Vampire Diaries Season 3 Come Out on DVD? (UPDATE)

Update: According to Amazon, the release date has been changed to September 11, 2012. Still plenty of time to see all 22 episodes before October 11, right? Plus, the price has dropped a bit to $43.19.

With a long, hot vampire-less summer stretching before us, there’s only one thing to do: binge watch all The Vampire Diaries episodes. While you can get started on Seasons 1 and 2, you’ll have to wait a tick until Season 3 debuts on DVD.

The collection will be released on August 28, which, we know, seems forever away. You can preorder the DVDs on Amazon right now for $53.98. The only consolation? Season 4 doesn’t start until October, so you’ll have all of September to make it through the 22 episodes.

Aw, cheer up, fang fans. Now you have no excuse not to take advantage of the summer sunshine!
