If it hadn’t already been used in Season 2, we’d have some serious contenders in The Vampire Diaries Season 3 for the episode title “Daddy Issues.”  Not only did Caroline (Candice Accola) get tortured by her papa, but we met another mysterious man who we think might have some family ties in Mystic Falls.

In Season 3, Episode 3, “The End of the Affair,” Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his sister Rebekah were being chased by a vampire hunter named Michael (Sebastian Roché). As recently as September 28, Roché was tweeting about the exciting things he was doing on the TVD set, so we know the hunter will be around for awhile.
Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) also revealed that she just found out who the season’s big bad is, and while he’s ridiculously scary, he’s also “very attractive,” she promises. Sounds like Sebastian to us.

Considering we’re destined to meet Michael in the present — over 90 years after we was shooting wooden bullets in the ‘20s — it seems the man has a supernatural side to him. Vampire? Warlock? Hybrid-baby maker? Who is this rugged vamp hunter, and why does he want to take down the sinister Original siblings?
