The Vampire Diaries

Candice Accola

Birthday: May 13, 1987
TVD Character: Caroline Forbes

Hometown: Born in the Sunshine State, Accola was raised just south of Disneyworld in Edgewood, Florida.

Why Candice might look familiar: You might have peeped Candice as Jessica, one half of the pop duo Confetti in Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva. Other than that, maybe you caught her in guest spots on Supernatural, Greek, or How I Met Your Mother. Oh, and she also played “Girl Lab Partner” in the indie hit Juno. Hannah Montana fans might’ve spotted the self-described “vintage junkie” belting backup vocals for Miley Cyrus on a tour.

A little something extra you ought to know about Candice: She moonlights as a rock star. C formed her first pop group, Girl Zone, at age 8. “I told my mom we were going to be the next Spice Girls,” she said in Orlando Magazine. She started writing lyrics at 14 years old, then withdrew from Lake Highland Prep to move to L.A. and sign a record deal with Madonna’s label, Maverick. (Don’t worry. Candice finished school via correspondence and graduated with the Class of 2005.) Her album, It’s Always the Innocent Ones, dropped — and flopped — in 2008. But, hey, at least she’s big in Japan. No, really. Readers of the Japanese music rag, Buurn!, named her among their top 10 artists! These days she only rocks out with TVD’s crew as a member of the Straight 2 Video cover band.
