Sunday, April 22 marked 2012’s Earth Day, but given Ian Somerhalder’s dedication to the planet, it was only natural that he got a jump start on celebrating the event.
On Saturday the 21, he and his foundation teamed up with thousands of school kids, parents, and environmentalists to help clean up California as part of his new “Let’s Get Dirty” initiative.
Taking to a local beach, Ian and his eager students spent the afternoon picking up cigarette butts, plastic bottles, and caps.
