Ian does own property in his hometown of Mandeville, Louisiana (a pizzeria), but splits his time between Los Angeles (Venice Beach) and Atlanta, Georgia, where The Vampire Diaries is filmed about nine months of the year. Of his home in SoCal, he tells HolidayGoddess.com, "I live right on the Venice, Santa Monica border and that’s where I spend every morning and every evening." Who knows, you may catch him at the local Whole Foods in either Atlanta or Los Angeles — he's a big fan of the natural food market!
