Birthday: July 13, 1988
TVD Character: Jeremy Gilbert
Hometown: McQueen’s a Hollywood rarity — he’s an actor who calls Los Angeles proper his real hometown. Though he was born and raised in LaLaland, Steve currently lives in Hotlanta where TVD is filmed.
Why Steven might look familiar: If Warner Bros. Studios has a cute boy farm somewhere (which we strongly suspect), McQueen was most definitely plucked from it. Like his hottie TVD costar Paul Wesley, Steven had a recurring role on Everwood (he played a musical prodigy), as well as guest starring bits on CSI: Miami, Without A Trace, Numb3rs, and Threshold before landing on TVD. Oh, and if you think something about him reminds you of another actor named McQueen, good call. That moniker is no coincidence! Christened Terrence Steven McQueen II, this kickboxing martial arts enthusiast (don’t even get him started on Bruce Lee) is the grandson of the ’60s king of cool movie icon, Steve McQueen. Talk about pressure to perform. Jeez.
A little something extra you ought to know about Steven: If this self-confessed “comic book nerd” could have any super power, it would be super speed so, as he told CW reps, he “could run anywhere at any time and kind of just escape.” Maybe that desire to run is also why he’s turned into a bit of a gym rat. After he landed the TVD gig, Steven reportedly started a special diet and a weightlifting workout program. He's certainly beefed up over the seasons!
