Vanessa Lengies Lands Indie Film Role in Married Young

Vanessa Lengies’ (Sugar Motta) time on Glee may have been unfairly brief, but the 29-year old actress is still one of Hollywood’s most sought after rising young stars. That said, we’re not at all surprised she recently booked an indie film role and is already hard at work on the project. Read on for more details about Vanessa’s latest gig!

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Vanessa landed a role in an indie flick called Married Young, which centers around a man who deals with the challenges of a 2-year-old, a pregnant wife, and an animated alter ego while struggling to keep his marriage intact. We don’t have any specifics on her particular role just yet, but we’ll update you as soon as we know more.

The film, which is currently shooting, also stars David Fynn (Undatable), Gary Cole (Veep), and Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing). Married Young will be directed by Daniel Kaufman from a screenplay by Jon Dabach.

We’re super happy Vanessa landed this role, especially since her post-Glee TV gig, ABC’s Mixology, was canceled earlier this year after only a handful of episodes aired. But maybe she’ll stop by Fox again even with the movie going on. After all, Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy has said any cast members who want to come back for the final season are more than welcome to do so. Get on it, girl!

Do you think Vanessa will come back for Glee Season 6, or should she stick to movies instead? Vote below!
