Veronica Mars: Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring Cover Entertainment Weekly!

Entertainment Weekly reunites casts of old TV shows on its covers all the time, but the February 21 issue celebrates a series that's actually coming back from the dead: Veronica Mars. And the cover photo is one that longtime fans will "LoVe"!

"Veronica Mars Lives!" the cover proclaims, showing a photo of Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring, two of the show's stars — and the subjects of fans' biggest ship!

In the UPN-turned-CW series, which ran from 2004 to 2007, Kristen played the titular character, a high-schooler who assisted her father's private-eye business — balancing her schoolwork and social life with her investigation into weighty mysteries like her best friend's death and her own date rape.

Jason played Logan, the bad-boy Hollywood heir who represented everything Veronica loathed about the ruling class of Neptune, California — who turned out to be a soulful friend — and, later, boyfriend — to Veronica.

On the cover, Kristen holds a pile of marshmallows — and Jason bites into one — a reference to the pilot episode of the series. The ep features Veronica's friend Wallace (Percy Daggs III) referring to her as a marshmallow, i.e. an angry young woman shell containing a slightly less angry young woman.

The CW unceremoniously canceled the series after three critically-acclaimed series, but six years later, the cast joined creator Rob Thomas in a Kickstarter campaign to bring the story to the big screen. The campaign met its goal of $2 million within 10 hours, eventually raising $5.6 million. And now the Veronica Mars movie will hit select movie theaters on March 14!

Plus, as Kristen tells EW, the cinematic adaptation may not be the culmination of the Veronica Mars franchise. "I am not too pessimistic about this being the last round," she says.

We'll be ready — popcorn, soda, and marshmallows in hand!
