The winners of Bravo's first-annual Real Housewives Awards — which are based on viewers' votes — won't be announced until this Sunday, March 23. But we've learned whom Bravo has chosen as the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and the lucky lady is: Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson! Woo hoo!
This year, Bravo has allowed viewers to vote for their favorite Real Housewives stars in a variety of categories, with voting ending today at noon. The ten categories are: Most Memorable Outfit, Most Shocking Reunion Twist, Loveliest Locks, Best Fight Locale, Rookie of the Year, Best Supporting Agitator, Party of the Year, Favorite Quote, OMG-est Moment of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement in Extremely Short Form Live Action.
However, Vicki has been announced ahead of time as the Lifetime Achievement Award winner. "Without the O.G. of the O.C., would we even know that one woman could truly embody the ideals, grace, and swagger befitting a Real Housewife?" Bravo writes. "Here’s to you Vicki! May you 'woo hoo' for all time!"
Congrats, Vicki! She definitely deserves it, as she's the only remaining original cast member on the longest-running show in the franchise. "Holy crap, that means I'm old now," Vicki quips in response to winning. Gotta love her self-deprecating attitude!
Are you surprised that Vicki won? Would you have chosen someone else?
