James Corden Falls in Love With Mannequin Victoria Beckham in New Carpool Karaoke
Victoria Beckham spiced up the latest Carpool Karaoke. Well, kind of.
The former Spice Girl joined The Late Late Show host James Corden for a full-out singing sesh, though things seemed a little off.
Paying tribute to the film Mannequin, a 1987 romance about an artist who creates a mannequin that comes to life, James met Victoria at a suit fitting, only to find out she's a mannequin only he can see come to life.
In the encounter, James was going over suits with a stylist when suddenly a mannequin (who is none other than Posh Spice) turned around and winked at him. When the stylist turned around to see what the commotion is, the Spice Girl returned to her mannequin state.
"You're the only one who can see me like this," the singer told James in a later scene. A romance sparks between the two as James is seen — much to the dismay of his coworkers — talking, dancing and laughing with a mannequin Victoria.
"The world couldn’t understand their love," a voiceover narrated.
"James, she's a dummy," a coworker told James when he's seen giggling on the couch with a mannequin.
"Do not speak to her that way," James shots back. "She taught me how to love."
Their relationship was perfectly described by the narrator who said, "Their love wasn't meant for this world."
The hilariousness continued when Victoria hopped into James's car for some Carpool Karaoke. Naturally, the pair had to sing "Spice Up Your Life."
Though not everyone was a fan. When James reached a stoplight, the driver next to him gave him the dirtiest look for rocking it out with life-sized mannequin in the passenger seat.
Earlier this week, the Spice Girl teased the appearance on Snapchat with many fans wondering if the whole Spice Girls crew was going to stop by for Carpool Karaoke. Turns out, James's car only had room for Posh.
"Where's James? There he is!" the designer said in her snap, panning the camera to the British host.
While fans are loving the video, it doesn't look like Victoria's former Spice Girls bandmate Mel B (aka Scary Spice) is pleased with the designer's latest TV appearance.
“Mel is livid Victoria is all of a sudden embracing her Spice Girls past after years of trying to distance herself from the band," a source told The Sun.
The Sun's source continued to reveal that Mel B was gung-ho on going on a Spice Girls reunion tour to celebrate the band's music with millions of fans. But when Victoria refused to do it, the plans fizzled out.
“Mel feels it’s unfair Victoria is now using their music to boost her own profile," the source said.
Well, at least James loves ya, Victoria. Watch the hilarious video below.
