Taylor Swift “Didn’t Fit” at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Says Model

Update (November 22, 2013):

Jessica Hart has since backpedaled on her less than glowing statement about Taylor Swift, telling Us Weekly, “I adore Taylor Swift, and I was so excited to be with her at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. What Taylor does on stage is nothing compared to what we do.” Jessica also says she owns Taylor’s very first CD so obviously everything’s peachy-keen between the two now.

Original story (November 15, 2013):

A Victoria’s Secret model is throwing major shade at Taylor Swift, which is surprising since models don’t exactly have big shadows (because they’re skinny! Funny, right?!).

T.Swift, of course, was the headline musical act at this year’s annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which taped Wednesday, November 13, but won’t air until Tuesday, December 10, on CBS.

For her part, the country darling looked to have a great time strutting her stuff alongside models Lily Aldridge and Cara Delevingne despite telling Entertainmentwise, “I don’t think I ever thought that modeling thing was a possibility.” In the same interview, TayTay confessed she couldn’t model now. “Victoria's Secret would not let me in!”

Sadly, model Jessica Hart agrees. At a Fashion Show after-party, Women’s Wear Daily caught up with the hot Aussie who was asked if Taylor could “pull it off as a Victoria’s Secret model.” Jessica bluntly replied, “No.”

Her reasoning? Being a professional model requires a lot of time and work. “What it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself,” Jessica says. “I think it comes with age.”

Somewhat cushioning the blow, the 27-year-old explained: “I think, you know what, God bless her heart. I think she’s great. But I don’t know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that.”

A good rule of thumb, Jessica: If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
