Jon Gosselin has arrived, so the drama on VH1's Couples Therapy can finally begin. And it's obvious this dude is going to have plenty of feelings to discuss with host Dr. Jenn Berman. Between his ongoing legal issues and reported financial struggles, Jon has a lot on his plate — not to mention the fact that he's constantly fighting with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, while trying to make things work with his new girlfriend, Liz Jannetta.
In his most recent anti-Kate crusade, Jon accused his ex of exploiting their kids by considering putting them back on reality TV. The couple's eight children grew up in front of the cameras on TLC's reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, an experience Jon believes has had a detrimental effect. Jon went on to say that Kate uses their kids as props because she can't afford their old lifestyle while Kate insists that their children actually enjoy being in the spotlight.
When Wetpaint teamed up with Viggle during last week's episode of Couples Therapy, we discovered that 76 percent of viewers agree with Jon that putting the kids back on TV would be a huge mistake, while 23 percent of Viggle LIVE! users think he's just overreacting.
Either way, we can rest assured that the Gosselin twins, Mady and Cara, have grown up to be well-adjusted teens. The 13-year-old girls (feel old yet?) were recently featured on the cover of People magazine, dishing on their unconventional childhood.
"People expect us to be damaged," Cara says. Mady agrees, "People think we're supposed to be messed up, like, 'Oooooh, the poor Gosselin kids, they're going to be scarred for life, waaaaah.' Here's the big news: We're not messed up."
See Jon? Now you can just sit back and relax … on Dr. Jenn's couch, that is.
