Today’s Viggle Minute is of Olympic-sized proportions. The 2014 Winter Games begin this evening. Really! NBC is jumping the gun and airing sports coverage live from Sochi, Russia, tonight, the evening before the Opening Ceremonies. Why? Because there are just too many sports to cram into two weeks of programming.

Starting at 8 p.m. ET tonight, NBC will air new additions to the Winter Games including the first-ever team figure skating event. We’ll also get a peek at slopestyle snowboarding and women’s freestyle skiing (moguls). Sound like fun? We think so too! All three hours of it!

If you’re waiting until after the Opening Ceremonies to get your Olympics going, then tune in to The Vampire Diaries. Also starting at 8 p.m., tonight’s episode takes us to the Whitmore College Bitter Ball (aka every high school dance we ever went to). There’s bound to be drama, love, and, rumor has it, even a tad bit of violence when the action begins on The CW. One thing you won’t be seeing, however? Medals. NBC’s got the monopoly on those this year.
