U.S. Olympic figure skater Jason Brown caught the internet's attention when his stellar Riverdance inspired free skate at the U.S. championships went viral. It was a clean, enthusiastic, original performance, and it leaves many U.S. fans convinced Jason can claim the gold at Sochi in the 2014 Sochi Olympic games.

Wetpaint Entertainment teamed up with Viggle to see how enamored fans really are with Jason, and it's clear Viggle LIVE! users adore the 19-year-old rising star. A full 81 percent of voters thought Jason definitely has a shot at the gold!

We hate to burst fans' bubbles, but it's actually going to be pretty darned hard for Jason to snag gold this year. He's obviously a stellar talent, but he doesn't have any quad jumps in his arsenal, which makes it hard for him to compete against the world’s very best.

Plus, after the men's short program yesterday, the battle for the gold is pretty much exclusively between frontrunners Patrick Chan of Canada and Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan, who currently stand over 10 points ahead of the other competitors. Unless both superstars mess up in a big way, they're going to be nigh on impossible to beat.

But never fear, Jason fans! After the short program, he's sitting pretty in sixth place, and has a real shot at bronze. Not bad for a teen who hopes to compete in two more Olympics. The gold will come!
