Even after all these years, Survivor is still outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting the competition over on CBS. This year’s show split the tiki torch bearers into three groups based on brains, brawn, and beauty. The brains haven’t exactly been keeping up in the competition but tonight that could all change.

Mr. Viggle hints at a “Survivor first” and since he doesn’t go into any more detail on the matter, our minds are already racing with the possibilities. The contestants mutiny and get rid of host Jeff Probst? They all split the cash prize? They’re not really on an island? Tune into tonight at 8 p.m. to see what surprise is in store.

In reality TV news that doesn’t involve tiki torches, American Idol is new tonight for two hours. The Fox staple has seen flagging ratings all season long but that’s not stopping the Season 13 contestants from giving the show their best shot. The Top 9 perform tonight with a little help from the band, a round we expect judge and highly acclaimed big bander Harry Connick, Jr. to be particularly harsh about. The singing begins at 8 p.m. on Fox.
