The Voice Judge Cee Lo Green Confirms Permanent Exit From the NBC Reality Competition Series
Cee Lo has taken a break from The Voice judging panel in the past, but this time he's NOT coming back! The "Forget You" singer confirms he's quitting the show for good.
After four seasons of taking up-and-coming artists under his wing, Cee Lo Green has decided it's time to take his leave from the reality competition show, he said on Wednesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The departure, he says, is amicable. That's... a small comfort, but it's something! “I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year,” Cee Lo dished.
"I’m going to miss The Voice, too," he said. "I’m not coming back, guys."
When Ellen, of course, asked for the clarification we're so desperate for, her confirmed: “I’m not coming back at all... I just don’t want to wear out my welcome there, you know what I’m saying?"
So be it, Cee Lo. We'll miss you!
