The Walking Dead: “Walker” Beer Has Real Brains — Will You Try It?

If only Lizzie were still alive — and old enough to drink this! She and her old buddy Nick could toast their friendship over a “Walker” beer while they watched The Walking Dead Season 4 finale.

In a clever (and creepy) bit of marketing, Dock Street Brewing Company has devised a new beer called "Walker," inspired by the AMC show. According to the Philadelphia brewery's website, Dock Street Walker is "an American Pale Stout brewed with wheat, oats, flaked barley, organic cranberry, and Smoked Goat Brains!"

As they explain, the Walker brew is the brainchild (groan) of two loyal fans of the show, whose Monday cleaning rituals are spent recapping the previous night's episode of the show. "Dock Street wanted to brew a special tribute to the show. 'Screw it, let's use brains!'"

As they add, "Gourmet mushrooms and potentially hallucinogenic herbs are one thing, but smoked brains ... really? Believe it or not, much of the world considers brain to be a true delicacy. Think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, but not ridiculous." (Hey man, that's a classic! You could also think of the dinner scene in Clue.) "Many also believe that using every part of an animal not only increases and encourages sustainability but also honors the animal's life and death." So there you go, honor the goats by eating their brains.

Fans can try the beer for the first time on March 30 — same day as the Season 4 finale — at the brewery in Philadelphia. They're making a big deal out of it, with live music and a screening of Episode 16.

What do you think? Will you try this, if it comes to your area? Maybe we can convince Abraham to ditch the D.C. mission and head up to Philly instead.

The Walking Dead Season 4 finale airs Sunday, March 30, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
