"It was awful... You have to do it all afternoon. I mean [the audience] at least see it once, but we're sort of pounding it out and having to wrench our guts and sort of spill them in front of the crew — there's about seven takes and the crew are just going 'Haven't we shot this now? Please.'"

“I think the most difficult thing for me to shoot — me, the actor playing Carol — was Lizzie in the grove — that final scene with Lizzie in the grove. I couldn’t wait for that scene to be over.”

“The hardest thing I’ve had to shoot so far was when Eugene was knocked out in season 5 episode 6 or 7 and they showed Eugene laying on the ground. It was 100-and-shit outside with ticks and spiders crawling all over me and I’m laying on the hot asphalt acting like I’m knocked out when it’s the last thing I want to do...and they only show me for 5 seconds. [Laughs] That was a difficult scene to shoot."

“You're in a jail cell and you're naked and crying for three days and they're right there with you and everyone was really quiet just trying to capture what's in the air. I don't know if you could do that with a crew that you didn't feel that comfortable with. It was intense.”
