The Walking Dead’s Melissa McBride On Carol’s Fight and Missing Rick
Daryl and Carol are together again but there’s still one more reunion Melissa McBride is itching to see on The Walking Dead!
Melissa spent the end of Season 6 and the entirety of Season 7 isolated in her cabin and she’s been missing the rest of the cast like crazy!
However, the actress suspects Carol is avoiding Alexandria, and won’t be back anytime soon.
“When she was in Morgan's room, he says, 'We can go to Alexandria right now, I'll go with you.'" she recalls in an interview with ComicBook.com.
"When he says, 'You need to go there to find out what happened,' she knows something horrible happened, and she doesn't want to go find out. If it's that horrible, I feel horrible."
But that doesn’t mean Carol has given up on Alexandria completely.
Despite her absence from the group, Melissa says Carol will be front and center in the fight against Negan.
"I'll go to the Kingdom and I'll get my pieces here and I'm going to round everyone up if I have to. Who knows if Alexandria would have her back, but yeah, so there's that."
Melissa totally wants to see Rick and Carol meet again and patch things up.
"I hope there's some reuniting there and reconciliation. I don't know how that would play out, though."
We wouldn’t mind forgoing a Rick reunion for a Carol/Daryl spinoff, though!
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
