‘Walking Dead’ Season 6 Episode Will “Hark Back to a Daryl and Carol Moment”
As much as we love them, moments between Carol Peletier and Daryl Dixon — AKA Caryl — on The Walking Dead are few and far between. Still, in a recent interview, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, teased there is something in Season 6, Episode 6 that harkens back to a moment between our favorite non-couple couple.
Unfortunately Norman didn’t give us much else to go off of, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start speculating about what Caryl moment he’s talking about.

For reference, this gem came up during Norman’s chat with Entertainment Weekly after he was asked about the new types of walkers coming our way in Season 6. “There are super beautiful elements to his [Greg Nicotero’s] zombies, but sometimes there’s a little something funny in there that just he knows and nobody else knows — or major comic-book fans or major zombie fans,” he dished.
“There’s one particularly beautiful, gruesome zombie — he’s got a lot of green moss on him. But when you see that episode — it’s in Episode 6, I think, that particular zombie — something happens, and it harks back to a Daryl and Carol moment. I’m going to let you just guess what that could be, but there are Easter eggs in some of those zombies, so you’ll see it in Episode 6.”

Again, Norman gave us no real info to go off of here, but we’re wondering if the moment he’s talking about could be when Daryl and Caryl were reunited after Rick Grimes banished her in Season 4. Norman mentions green moss and we remember the pair hugging in a wooded area, so you never know.
Speaking about some of Season 6’s earlier episodes, Norrman noted things kick off on an uneasy foot. “[There’s] a lot of internal conflict, a lot of characters that you didn’t see having beef are starting to have beef. A lot of mistrust, and a lot of conflict inside the walls of Alexandria on how that place is supposed to be run, and who’s willing to trust whom.”

What’s more? Norman pointed out Daryl’s new job as a recruiter could get him in some serious trouble. “You saw in the trailer there’s a guy pointing his gun at Daryl’s head, and Daryl’s tied up, and it’s not going well for Daryl right now,” he explained.
We’ll admit that portion of the trailer did make us worry, but now all we’re focused on is this Caryl tease!
The Walking Dead Season 6 premieres with a 90-minute episode on October 11 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
