‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 Finale Is “So Dark,” Says Melissa McBride

With only three episodes left of The Walking Dead Season 6, the highly anticipated Season 6 finale — in which Negan will make his long-awaited debut — draws closer every day.

Aside from a Negan appearance with likely fatal consequences, we don’t actually know that much about this season’s final hour, but now another cast member has us really worried for what’s to come.

Melissa McBride, who plays recently escaped Carol Peletier, tells E! News of Episode 16, “You should be very scared.”

Speaking specifically about Negan, the 50-year-old adds, “This guy is the composed evil, which is terrifying. I was reading the script. There were some pages in there that I realized my mouth was open and it's just so dark. He's just evil.”

Evil as Lucille’s owner may be, Melissa admits there’s also part of her that’s eager for Negan to turn the TWD world on its head.

“God, I can't wait for this finale. I'm dreading it, but at the same time, I'm so excited," she explains.

We feel you, girl!

When asked about the season finale earlier this year, TWD star Andrew Lincoln echoed Melissa’s sentiments.

“I felt sick to my stomach when I read the script,” he said. “It was the first day in the whole six years of working on The Walking Dead that I was late for work because I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get back to sleep.”

In the comics, Negan kills Glenn Rhee by beating him to death with his baseball bat named Lucille upon first meeting, and although there are some theories that suggest Daryl Dixon could get Glenn’s death, we think the former pizza delivery boy isn’t long for this world.

Go easy on us, Negan. We love our Glennie-poo!

The Walking Dead Season 6 airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
