Update (2/14/16): Tonight's midseason premiere of The Walking Dead has been called "gargantuan" and "unprecedented," and we're almost certain it will include multiple deaths and at least one key storyline from the comics that will alter several of our beloved characters forever.

Watch the first four minutes of Episode 9 — "No Way Out" — below, and be sure to catch the whole hour later tonight!

The first half of The Walking Dead Season 6 concludes this Sunday night with Episode 8: “Start to Finish,” but it’s never too early to start thinking about the midseason premiere, even if we have to suffer through a nearly three-month hiatus first.

Truth be told, we know very little about Episode 9 aside from its premiere date, which is February 14, 2016. Happy Valentine’s day to us!

Since we can expect this Sunday’s midseason finale to end with a bang (literally and figuratively), we know the February midseason opener will be highly anticipated, as those episodes often are.

Assuming Alexandria is still standing after the November 29 hour, the second half of the season will still take place in and around that area as we meet the Hilltop Colony and those involved with it, and, eventually, Negan.

Unfortunately, we won’t be treated to the standard promo and sneak peeks this Sunday, but a press release from AMC states, “Following the thrilling midseason finale, a special two minute prologue to the next chapter of The Walking Dead will debut during an all-new episode of Into the Badlands.”

Think of this “prologue” as something like the Comic Con trailer we were treated to in July that previewed the first half of the season.

Since the cast wrapped Season 6 earlier this month we might even get our first look at Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, but don’t hold your breath!

The Walking Dead Season 6 midseason finale airs Sunday, November 29, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
