‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 Spoilers: Will Negan Kill Carol?
Warning: Spoilers ahead.
The Walking Dead Season 6 continued tonight, March 20, with an episode that began slowly, but really picked up in the last 20 minutes or so.
You can read our complete recap here, but what we want to focus on now is Carol Peletier’s decision to leave Alexandria for good, which she revealed to her new boo Tobin via a handwritten letter in the final moments of the episode.
Rick Grimes famously banished Carol in Season 4 after she killed Karen and David, but this time it’s different because she chose to leave.
NEWS: Everything We Know About TWD Season 6, Episode 15
In the past few episodes we’ve noticed a change in Carol. Once a killing machine, TWD’s resident badass is now reluctant to eliminate threats, no matter how sinister they may be.
In Episode 13 for example, Carol very reluctantly killed a Savior named Paula even though it was clear from the get-go she was bad, bad news. That hour also saw Carol take up a renewed interest in religion, which was part of a tactic she used to stay alive, but also clearly rooted in something she was hoping would ground her.
Let’s also not forget that list of her own kills Carol keeps going back to and her ongoing “to kill or not to kill” war with Morgan Jones. Basically, Daryl Dixon’s Pookie is going through something and we have no idea how she can be helped.

In her letter to Tobin, Carol wrote, in part, “I can’t love anyone because I can’t kill for anyone. So I’m going like I always should have.”
We get where she’s coming from and normally we wouldn’t even be that worried about Carol going solo, but with Negan in the vicinity we can’t help but wonder if he might kidnap and/or kill her just to spite Rick’s group.
The Saviors clearly like kidnapping people, and if they find Carol again they’d likely kill her on the spot given the havoc she wreaked when she escaped their compound just last week.
We’ve been so worried about Glenn Rhee (and maybe Daryl) dying at Negan’s hand that we totally forgot to stress about Carol.
Listen girl, we advise you to head back to Alexandria while you still can. In the meantime, steer clear of bats!
The Walking Dead Season 6 airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
