Jesus, a resident of the Hilltop Colony who later moves to the Alexandria Safe-Zone, was first introduced in issue 91 of the comics and is still alive in that medium.

Rick Grimes, aka Andrew Lincoln, and his crew are reluctant to trust Jesus at first, but he eventually becomes a key member of the group in the comics ahead of the war against The Saviors and Negan

The character is a “rare logical man and skilled adviser with a strong sense of morals and values who is well-adapted to the new world.”
