He started this Season 8 stuff, but he’s been nowhere to be seen on set.

Though Jeffrey Dean Morgan leaked the date The Walking Dead Season 8 filming began, he has yet to be spotted back in action.

Fans are left to ask, “Where’s Negan?”

Jeffrey was super excited to slip back into his leather jacket for TWD’s eighth season.

So excited he let Season 8’s production date slip in an interview.

The Negan portrayer believed the new season would be outstanding without ever setting eyes on a script.

Spoilers leaked from the set have confirmed the activity (or absence) of many fan-favorite characters.

Daryl, Rick, Tara, and Jadis have all been spied on set.

Meanwhile, Rosita actress Christian Serratos has been absent from the set since the birth of her daughter earlier this year.

The last we saw Rosita she was lying unconscious in a hospital bed, providing the new mom some much-needed downtime.

Just like Christian, Jeffrey has been absent from the Season 8 set, so far, Inquisitr reports.

We don’t know how the showrunners plan to explain Negan’s smaller role, but we have a good guess as to why he’s gone missing.

There is no official explanation for the 51-year-old actor’s absence, thought it’s a good bet his upcoming monster movie Rampage has something to do with it.

Jeffrey will co-star with Dwayne Johnson in the blockbuster romp.

Previously leaked images have hinted at an assault on Negan’s Sanctuary.

This is right in line with the comic storyline, which sees the Kingdom and a very small number of the Hilltop members band together with Rick in attempt to take out Negan.

Other leaks have indicated the Saviors' revenge-filled attack on the Kingdom.

So it’s a safe bet we’ll be seeing the slugger in the near future.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC this October.
