Make your apologies to the neighbors — you are now officially devoting July 4 weekend to The Walking Dead. We already scheduled ourselves for the full series marathon that starts Thursday, July 4 on AMC — get details here — but Zombie Independence Day actually gets even better.

According to ComicBook.com, this “Walking Dead Season 4 Preview Weekend” will be hosted by Comic Book Men’s Kevin Smith and include a sneak peek at The Walking Dead Season 4, which is currently filming and will premiere in October. To quote the site, “It’s unknown exactly what type of sneak peek will air, but rumors suggest cast interviews and a brief look at some Season 4 footage. We know for sure that both Episode 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead Season 4 completed filming earlier this month, and it’s likely that Episode 3 and maybe Episode 4 are completed by now as well.”

AMC has already shared a few behind-the-scenes interviews and videos (like this one on the Season 4 premiere) and specific details about Episodes 4 and 6 have been leaked by other sites. Even if all they do over this “Preview Weekend” is regurgitate things hardcore fans have already seen and heard, it’s worth it just to pump yourself up for the big premiere. There’s nothing like a shared zombie experience! Are you in?
