Death is stalking our intrepid gang of zombie apocalypse survivors on The Walking Dead Season 4, which starts October 13 on AMC.

AMC has been posting a bunch of short promos, but most are just recycled from the extended Comic-Con trailer that came out back in July. This new promo also mixes past material with some interesting new footage, including Daryl (Norman Reedus) telling Beth, "I'm tired of losing people." (We know that’s Beth ‘cause she’s wearing the same outfit from that scene in the Comic-Con trailer where Beth hugs Daryl. So this is part of that hugging scene. Close your eyes, Caryl shippers!)

Hershel (Scott Wilson) reiterates that they just lost 12 of their own, including two in cold blood. We see the group, including Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), digging graves at the prison.

Hershel later adds, when talking to the new council that governs the prison, "There is no stopping it." What is "it"? We know there will be at least one brand new threat this season that is not zombies or other people. It may be related to Mother Nature; so is it an illness? (That might explain why Daryl covers his mouth with a bandana in the photos from Episode 2, “Infected.”.)

This promo also ominously starts with "Pray for the Dead," which becomes "Prey for the Dead." Ooohhh...
