Let’s shuffle past The Walking Dead Season 4 premiere, “30 Days Without an Accident,” and head right into Episode 2, “Infected,” which airs tonight — Sunday, October 20, at 9 p.m. ET.

Here’s the official one sentence synopsis: “The group faces a new enemy; Rick and the others fight to protect their hard-won livelihood.”

That “new enemy” sounds like a reference to the new threat they’ve been teasing for months now. It’s not walkers and it’s not other humans, and it sounds like it's this new Spanish flu-like sickness. However, it sounds like Episode 2 will feature more than one major new threat.

ComicBook.com saw “Infected” in advance and shared some teasers. “A non-bite-related death occurs this episode to a character who is isolated from walkers. No bite on that guy, but he turns nevertheless. He isn’t the only one, either; just the most obvious example.” We already know that people turn when they die, bitten or not, but it’s still unclear whether these deaths are natural or … unnatural.

One Episode 2 photo shows Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) with a bandana covering his mouth, which would make sense if we have a potentially contagious outbreak in the prison. We know Rick's pig, Violet, got sick; and a walker at the fence had bloody eyes; and then Patrick got sick and went downhill really fast on the premiere, leaving him with the same kind of bloody eyes as that walker.

ComicBook.com also hinted to another thing we’ve been worried about since the big Comic-Con trailer — the idea that someone inside the prison is sabotaging things, leaving rats by the fence to feed the walkers (see sneak peek video below) and generally stirring up poop. As ComicBook.com put it, “There’s a B plot in this episode, too, and it’s one that’s far more intriguing than [the premiere’s] various romances. There’s an enemy within, to borrow a previous episode title, and it’s not clear who it is or to what end they’re acting — but if not for the generalized threat presented by the episode’s major development in Cell Block D, that sub-story could very well overtake the show.”

They add that the stakes of his enemy within subplot are so high it becomes less like a subplot than having “two massive events taking place at the same time, presenting so much danger and driving so much story that it will give the season a sense of frenzy that was missing from the premiere.”

So vague, but so intriguing too! We can’t wait to see for ourselves. Read their full recap here, check out seven spoiler photos from the episode, watch a couple of sneak peek/promo videos below, and prepare to add more pieces to the puzzle when more spoilers are leaked.

OTHER EPISODE 2 NOTES

• Who will die? We're worried about Karen kicking the bucket tonight, along with a lot of redshirts from Woodbury.

• Here's a teaser from E! News: "Suffice to say, Rick is going to start to shift his priorities in the next episode, as he figures out what's up with the deadly virus, the piggies, and the ever-growing posse of zombies who are tearing down the prison fence. In the next episode, the piggies help solve one of those big problems."

• Check out more photos from Episode 2, and see what you can make of them. (A hat or a brooch or a pterodactyl...)
