Yes, we’re jumping the gun a bit considering we have yet to see The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 2: “Infected”, but we just had to share these photos from Episode 3, “Isolation” with you so we could theorize together!

Since Patrick (Vincent Martella) died from some unknown sickness in Episode 1, we can imagine that once the rest of Team Prison finds out about the unusual circumstances surrounding his death, everyone will panic. Our group has gotten pretty good at controlling walkers, but a flu-like sickness is a whole other can of worms.

The synopsis for Episode 2 is as follows: “The group faces a new enemy; Rick and the others fight to protect their hard-won livelihood.”

As we have suspected, the “new enemy” is likely at least in part whatever killed Patrick, and as the description for Episode 3 suggests, this illness wipes out a significant portion of Team Prison.

“A group leaves the prison to search for supplies; the remaining members of the group deal with recent losses,” the brief synopsis reads.

While the two photos we have from Episode 3 don’t add much to what we already know, we do see Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) peering out of the prison with a worried look on her face (above) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) sitting in an outdoor cell by herself, in isolation, at right. Do you think Carol is chilling solo because she’s been infected by this new disease, or is it more likely that she’s totally fine and just looking for some peace and quiet?
