We’re only one episode into The Walking Dead Season 4, but we can already feel the tension rising and the stakes getting higher and higher as Team Prison grapples with a flu-like illness, particularly dangerous walkers, a possible traitor in their midst, and much, much more.
According to the masterminds behind TWD and those that are lucky enough to work on the Georgia set, all of this will boil over at one point or another as the show’s fourth season heads towards its peak.
“We’re building it up to something that’s huge,” production designer Grace Walker tells The Wrap.
Grace’s words are no different than what we’ve heard about Season 4 from other show insiders, including Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) who calls the season “crazy”, while producer Gale Anne Hurd has said that Season 4 is “the best season yet.”
While we don’t know what “huge” event to prep for just yet, it’s safe to say that in the TWD universe, anything as momentous as whatever this is, is bound to lead to deaths. And lots of ‘em.
In addition to this “huge” teaser, The Wrap also has an exclusive video from the Season 4 set, in which creator Robert Kirkman teases “some really good walker kills” and more.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
