Just how supportive are Norman Reedus's gorgeous ex-girlfriend Helena Christiansen and their adorable teenage son Mingus of Norman's gritty work on The Walking Dead? Apparently very supportive! The 44-year-old former supermodel and her 14-year-old son watch Norman slaying zombies with his crossbow as fan favorite Daryl Dixon every Sunday  along with more than 16 million viewers. How crazy-cute is that?

On October 16, 2013, Helena told Vanity Fair at a charity event, “It’s pretty cool to have a zombie-slaying dad.” We totally agree!

While she reveals their son Mingus tries to play it cool over the fact that his dad's a total TV badass, she admits,“[I] know he’s super proud of his dad, and I know he thinks it’s a really interesting and challenging job to have.” Aww.

Now, if you're wondering if Norman watches The Walking Dead on TV, the 44-year-old actor told LadyGunn.com, "F***in' A, I do." Our man is so eloquent!

A little background on Norman's relationship with Helena Christiansen
Though he never married her, Norman dated Helena for about five years (from 1998 until 2003). Of his ex, Norman told to the Sydney Morning Herald, "[Helena is] a successful, powerful, intelligent woman, and a really great mom and role model for Mingus, who adores her. We're really good friends." The two share custody over their now 14-year-old son, Mingus Lucien Reedus, who was born in October 1999, and named after the legendary jazz bassist Charles Mingus.

According to his famous dad, Mingus is a multi-talented teenager, "Mingus is musically inclined, a good student and very interested in learning things. He's played chess all his life, too." Norman continues, "He's an awesome kid. And, like me growing up, he doesn't throw tantrums, either. I think my mom may have started something there." He sounds like such a great dad! Norman even has his son's name tattooed in red on his right forearm.
