If you thought The Walking Dead was done introducing you to new characters after the influx of Woodbury residents into the prison shortly before the start of Season 4, then think again! We’ll be meeting not one, but two new faces this Sunday, November 3, and we couldn’t be more ready for some fresh blood.
Back in June (aka that TWD-less time we’d rather not discuss), we told you that viewers would be introduced to the pair of newbies in Episode 4: “Indifference.” The two new survivors are named Sam and Ana, and they are in their 20s and described as easygoing and “extremely thin.” We also know that “Sam's a bit of a joker, while Erin walks through life with rose-colored glasses.” We formally met these new faces when Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) encountered them on the search for medicine, which brought them to a walker-ridden residential neighborhood. They were indeed thin, and Ana had a noticeable tattoo near her ankle, a symbol she said was from their previous refugee camp. is it just us, or are there major Governor vibes happening here?
Carol set Sam's dislocated shoulder, and Rick agreed that they could meet up with him and Carol later and head back to the prison if they wanted to. Unfortunately, Rick finds Ana's severed leg (identifiable thanks to her tattoo) and sees walkers feasting on the rest of her body. Sam is MIA, which raises a red flag for us, but we don't actually know if he's bad news or even if he's still alive.
Are you pleased that we got to meet two new faces in Karen and David’s place? Vote below!
The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
