The Walking Dead has never suffered from a lack of fan support or devotion, but the AMC hit has struggled to get the attention of high-profile awards shows. Luckily for the zombie drama, there’s one awards show that’s completely based on what the public loves: the People’s Choice Awards! While they certainly aren’t as esteemed as the Emmys or the Golden Globes, the PCAs are important to the actors and showrunners, who love knowing that they have such devoted fans.

Nominations for the 2014 People’s Choice Awards were announced today, November 5, and the best part is that the fans get to select each and every winner — and vote as many times as they like. Take that, fancy shmancy awards ceremonies!

Below are the AMC drama’s nominations:

  • The Walking Dead for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show, competing against Beauty and the Beast, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, and Once Upon a Time.

  • The Walking Dead for Favorite Cable TV Drama, competing against Downton Abbey, Pretty Little Liars, Sons of Anarchy, and White Collar.

  • Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) for Favorite TV Anti-Hero, competing against Dexter’s Dexter Morgan, Game of Thrones’ Jaime Lannister, Bates Motel’s Norman Bates, and Breaking Bad’s Walter White.

  • Andrew Lincoln for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor, competing against The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder, Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, and Arrow’s Stephen Amell.

Sadly, none of TWD’s badass female stars were nominated, and Norman Reedus was clearly overlooked for his portrayal of beloved Daryl Dixon, but let's use our anger to help overcome the show win big in any or all of the categories above.

We doubt you need any additional reasons to vote for Andrew and/or TWD, but just in case you do, check out what we’ve compiled here and here.

The People’s Choice Awards air on January 8, 2014, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. You can vote at PeoplesChoice.com, their official voting app, and on Facebook or Twitter through December 5, 2013.
